Position Summary:

The Third Cook is responsible for completing all duties including food preparation and cooking of menu items assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or their designate to the best of his / her ability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Available for AM and or PM shifts.
• Know and observe objectives, policies standards and procedures as set forth by the Executive Chef and Management.
• Ensure excellent and consistent production to achieve prompt and efficient service.
• Complete prep in a timely manner.
• Carve meats, prepare dishes and serve as required.
• Participate in food demonstrations to improve skills of self and other staff.
• Follow recipe guidelines and adjust to specific quantities.
• Ensure quality and freshness of product being used, while at the same time keeping waste to a minimum.
• Ensure that station is properly set-up at all times.
• Knowledge of the operation of all kitchen machinery and maintain its cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation at all times.
• Before the end of the workday the Apprentice has to make sure that their station is clean and that all food items are properly covered, labeled and stored.
• Keep food storage areas clean.
• Make improvement recommendations to the Executive Chef.
• Advise Executive Chef or Exec. Sous Chef on duty of any items to be requisitioned for that and advancing day.
• Practice Safety Standards and report any unsafe equipment or conditions to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
• Be punctual and dressed to Company standards.
• Perform other related duties requested by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or their designates.
• Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guest and staff at all times.
• All other duties as required.


• High School diploma or GED. • Food Handlers Certificate. • Previous cooking experience preferred. • Ability to communicate effectively. • Highly reliable and able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
