Position Summary: Responsible for the daily cleaning of assigned guestrooms according to the standards set forth by the department. Communicate with the floor supervisor and Housekeeping Department regarding guest requests and must practice attentive hospitality and professionalism at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• There will be shift duties (day, afternoon & night) as governed by business needs.
• Maintain uniform and grooming standards as outlined in employee handbook.
• Strip and make any bed type (King, Double) during the scheduled shift. A quota of 17 rooms (either 13 check outs/21 occupied or combination of both) is required for an 8-hour shift.
• Dust all areas of each assigned guestroom.
• Work with various cleaning solutions and hot water daily.
• Reach up to dust shelves, ledges and the tops of artwork frequently.
• Move furniture to vacuum under daily.
• Empty all trash and clean trash cans in each assigned guestroom and carry trash to compactor. Wash wastebaskets and large refuse containers, replacing plastic liners.
• Clean bathroom and all surrounding areas to include sink, bathtub, shower stall, walls, toilet mirror, shelves, floor and vanity area in each assigned guest room.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Operate a vacuum cleaner and vacuum each assigned guestroom.
• Replenish amenities, linen and other guest supplies as needed.
• Report any maintenance concerns to supervisor and fill out a maintenance request form outlining the deficiency.
• Be knowledgeable of property emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Handle lost and found items according to department guidelines.
• Keep linen closets, assigned cart, and Housekeeping areas clean and maintained.
• Alert Security and Housekeeping Supervisor of any suspicious people or activity in the guest room area & report missing items (from guestrooms and storage rooms) to security / supervisor.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner.
• Bring fresh linen to assigned floor(s) and storage rooms.
• Carry dirty linen to housekeeping/laundry area from the guest rooms as needed.
• Assist in other housekeeping areas as needed.
• All other duties as assigned/deemed necessary.


1. Cleaning experience is preferred. 2. Able to comprehend and communicate in English. 3. Physically able to stoop and bend freely, stand in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and lift and load wet/dry linen up to 75 lbs. 4. Able to be on your feet for a long period of time. 5. Good people skills. 6. Must be able work independently 7. Strong organizational skills. 8. Must be able to follow proper safety guidelines as instructed. 9. Ability to work a variety of shifts including day/afternoon/evening/weekend and holidays. 10. Can operate departmental equipment such as a vacuum cleaner. 11. Must be able to freely reach upwards above head for extended periods of time. 12. Adaptability and flexibility in learning styles 13. Laundry experience is preferred.
