Employee turnover and absenteeism are high in the event industry. The HR Manager’s job is help Rapture ensure it is fostering a sense of community, loyalty, and engagement among its team members, as well as making sure Rapture is something people want to be a part of. This coupled with our aggressive expansion plan, make hiring, training, and monitoring those people a crucial role in the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitate Expansion: Facilitating, hiring, training and monitoring our team of Event Managers, Promoters, and Sales Managers, and any other positions Rapture may need, is crucial to the growth of the business.
Foster Community: Working with other upper management, you will help Rapture develop and enforce company policies, that create a positive environment where despite our decentralized business model, everyone feels involved and engaged, with easy communication and sharing of information.
Systemize: Help develop job plans, workflows, as well as working with accounting and operations to determine compensation, to make the Rapture team a systematic machinelike work horse.
Personality traits: Organized, motivated, reliable, empathetic, outgoing, influential, extroverted.
BCom in Human Resources or a related degree
Excellent time management combined with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
Be comfortable messaging strangers and posting in many different social media groups
Experience in recruiting
This job does not require physical labour. Constant communication with the CEO will be the most important requirement for this job.
This job requires you to sit at a desk managing people and keeping communication constant with partners on a daily basis.
Most applicants will be invited to a one-on-one interview or out for drinks with some of the team if their application form is successful. You will be notified if you are successful in receiving an invitation to sign up for one of these or not, usually within a month from application, due to our large volume of applicants. This position may have a further step for the applicant, to be completed before attending an interview, such as a case challenge of some sort, however it will depend on the volume of applicants, as this method is used as a further filter.
